By all means, let us cancel culture.
Put an end to theatre, close the galleries
Shutter the palaces of art and sculpture.
Barricade the sacred Louvre.
Put chains around Uffizi and the Tate.
Abandon both The Bolshoi and The Met,
Let David crumble and Mona Lisa fade.
Defund the arts in all respects
And cease all civil discourse.
Give violence free reign.
Or did I misunderstand?
