style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Both tall and small  broad and narrow<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>That will overwhelm walls of indifference<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>My trajectory was set<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>I am the one seated at the fire with magic<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>On my tongue. at the tip of my fingers<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Baton raised about to guide the adventure<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Into the heart and soul of fantasy or fact<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>If only I can persuade them to believe<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>As I believe. for a moment so brief. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>I can immerse myself in the fantasy<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Must immerse myself if I am to convince them<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Of this story beyond everyday belief<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>From \u201cOnce upon a time\u201d to \u201cThe end\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>My task is to engage, sweep them into the story<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>And somehow make them see what I see<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>And make clear the lesson that adult reason<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Sees with such clarity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>The minstrel, the balladeer the itinerant wizard<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Knows this magic lies at the heart<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Of their craft and art.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>And if you cannot speak <\/em>to children <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>With convincing certainty and absolute honesty<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>And get them to believe<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Then your audience, young or old,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Either innocent or wise with years<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Will drift away beyond your reach,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Beyond your telling of the story.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Beyond the web you spin<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Beyond the reach of magic<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><em>Today I read to
