Even the Golden Rule should come with a caveat.&nbsp; It offers no guarantee of a return.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The best intentions in the world, if embraced with the thought of return on investment, degenerate into cynicism in pretty short order.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The trick is to give with no certainty of receiving in kind.&nbsp;
