How can I say \u201cThank You\u201d to a face I do not know?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some random act of kindness bestowed upon a stranger<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By a stranger in a strange land deserves a grateful nod.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I may not be able to acknowledge that kindly gesture<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it unfolds near or far from where I am,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I feel compelled to speak my mind and offer thanks<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a gesture grounded in human kindness<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And consideration for the plight of someone else.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No compulsion drives this sympathetic action<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To offer aid and comfort to one in desperate need.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The circumstances require some recognition.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cannot shake their hand nor offer a kindly smile<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I need to make it known that I have seen,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have been moved to stand and raise my voice<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the fact that no one hears and no one sees.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will say my \u201cThank you\u201d by paying it forward<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To some stranger I do not know.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
